Youth Development Worker Events Jobs Vacancy in Maroondah City Council Croydon Jobs Details:
- Temporary Part Time - 3 days per week until December 2020
- Salary: $69,848 pa (pro-rata) + Superannuation
- Location: Croydon
Maroondah City Council is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Youth Development Worker to complement the existing Youth Services Team. The successful applicant will plan, develop & implement a variety of youth events, and will deliver community and school based youth programs that raise the wellbeing of young people aged 10 – 25 years.
Applicants must have excellent group work, youth participation and event management skills, plenty of energy, be self-motivated, and have a genuine desire to empower and improve the lives of local young people.
The successful applicant must have prior experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of youth programs and events that promote active youth participation. Relevant tertiary qualifications and a proven ability to engage and work with young people and the wider community are essential. Knowledge of and commitment to the Victorian Youth Sector’s Code of Ethical Practice and knowledge about positive psychology is an advantage.
A commitment to working within a team environment is required, together with flexibility in working hours.
