Our client is a well established market leader. Their brand is highly recognisable and they are renowned as a leader and innovator in providing comprehensive information and data to both B2B and B2C markets . They have experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years and continued to develop new products and platforms particularly in the B2C market to increase their market share. Due to growth a senior opportunity for an experienced CTO to head up the Technology department from the Brisbane office is now available.
The purpose of the CTO role is to continue developing and deploying the organisation’s digital & technology strategy through their next phase of innovation and growth. You will be tasked with leading the technology team to ensure the successful integration of digital strategies, technology platforms and business systems to ensure business objectives are achieved. Heading up teams across digital, systems development, architecture and infastructure you will work closely with the CEO to develop business strategy and identify innovation opportunities.
This role is a unique opportunity for an innovative CTO or technically experienced CDO who is happy being ‘hands-on’ developing and executing B2C and B2B technology strategies collaboratively with their team.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
> Strategy Development - develop a detailed Technology strategy in conjunction with the Senior Executive team
> Leadership – as a natural people manager you with lead, mentor and motivate the technical team to deliver the organisation’s technology strategy
> Delivery – design,delivery and optimisation of the Digital platforms while identifying and improving on inefficiencies
> Digital Strategy – developing and deploying effective B2C strategies for UX/UI Design, data analytics and product development
> Product development - identifying and developing opportunities
> Infrastructure – you will have full responsibility for the platform, operating systems, data management, hosting, frameworks and testing along with outsourced infrastructure
> Sales – working closely with the Sales team to optimise and develop strategies for external clients
Desired Skills and Experience
> Ideally you have 8 – 10 + years commercial experience as a Chief Technology Officer, Senior Technical Lead or a Chief Digital Officer (with a technical background)
> You will be able to demonstrate a strong history in developing and deploying technology strategies for both B2C and B2B businesses
> You will have at least 7+ years of senior management experience and have proven track record in leading highly effective technology teams
> You will be a hands-on leader who is highly experienced in both internal and external stakeholder management
> You will be degree qualified in IT and it is desirable you have some post graduate qualifications in Management as well
