We are now seeking accomplished Logistics & Inventory Officers to manage the effective and efficient ordering, delivery, and transfer of stock and non-stock items and services to operational sites, including inventory reconciliation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in South Brisbane and reporting to the Logistics & Inventory Superintendent, you will:
Assist with customs clearance & logistics requirements for raw materials delivery into Australian Ports, and to operational sites;
Liase with operations personnel to collect and analyse usage forecasts of raw materials & finished products to ensure stock levels are sufficient to meet operational demands;
Monitoring stock levels & inventory re-order points;
Interacting and liaising with the Accounts Payable to investigate & resolve discrepancies;
Balance of stock/inventories to meet month end requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Business or Logistics;
Experience and understanding of logistics associates with customs, delivery & storage of bulk products in the explosives/mining industries;
Ability to accurately calculate supply requirements for raw materials using usage forecast data provided by operations personnel, while maintaining stock holdings at predetermined levels;
Understanding of legal & practical requirements of the transport, handling and storage of dangerous goods;
Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP software;
Ability to obtain personal State and Federal Government permits, security passes, and licences to allow unsupervised access to SSAN, explosives and shipping ports;
High Level of capability in using Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel;
Flexibility & ability to work to strict deadlines.
