Role Summary

The Client Account Director serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction. The Client Account Director is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. In addition, the Client Account Director will/should build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Primarily your role will be concerning overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects relating to our Clients. The precise mix and balance of tasks/responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the Airline accounts and the client requirements and focus on up selling on other services.

This position is responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with our key existing Client(s) and a smaller part of the role is to do the same with other prospective Clients in your region of responsibility. A large part of your role will be to develop strong relationships with the key contributors of the GEE group in order that all delivery of products and services to the key Client are satisfactory and well executed. Your role will require you to continuously monitor customer satisfaction and review customer feedback.

Management

  • To keep a high level of GEE products and services knowledge.
  • To assure achievement of GEE Account P&L.
  • To keep track of Competition’s activities, assess GEE’s competitive position within Client organization, provide competitive intelligence to GEE organization, and propose countermanding actions.
  • To advise and consult Client about new GEE products and services, improved technologies provided by GEE, and resulting Client benefits.
  • To play a key role for the business in managing the portfolio of this account from initial take on, through to on-going relationship management. This individual will act as a go-to expert for any client queries or issues and will work diligently to resolve them. Will engage with stakeholders throughout the business to coordinate multiple client projects that will meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Focus on retention and continuous improvement
  • Monitor scope creep through Client change orders, internal change orders, phased delivery or methods to ensure projects deliver on time line, scope, budget, and strategy expectations. Cooperate/align with Content Services Manager, CSM, to ensure that deliverables are met in quality, volume and time.
  • Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and Client acceptance.
  • Ensure project meets internal and Client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery time lines, and strategy.
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific Client engagements. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and time line.
  • Where project control is in jeopardy, create contingency plans with appropriate input from key team members and implement a revised project schedule, scope or budget in a timely manner.
  • Risk analysis, risk avoidance, issue handling and resolution
  • Innovation/Creativity on looking at accounts suggesting ideas and ways to improve accounts.
  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures

Communication

  • To ensure that all issues/problems are processed quickly and effectively, to ensure that the client is receiving the required level of service in order to maintain a good client relationship and excellent renewal rate.
  • To make contact with client on regular basis and be the driver for ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • To be an excellent communicator with the ability to forge effective business relationships with client and colleagues.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with client and delivering results to enhance their business.
  • Ensure all feedback and findings are completed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Liaise with all departments involved in gaining feedback for client.
  • Instigate regular creative reviews of GEE offering and overall content strategy
  • Provide regular creative and innovative solutions and ideas with support from appropriate areas of the business i.e creative, content, marketing, technology.
  • Provide expert knowledge to the customer with insights on industry and technology developments with support from key areas of the group.
  • Deliver reports to client at various stages of the operation, together with delivering a final presentation with recommended improvements to their business.
  • 3rd Party Liaison with Hardware manufacturers/Integrators


Reporting and Administration

  • To maintain and update client contact details and client systems
  • Measure and report on customer satisfaction
  • Weekly Customer updates to be provided internally


Commercial Responsibilities

  • To achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets
  • Working with Operational Finance to prepare monthly revenue and margin reports
  • Devise and implement margin improvement plans through content utilization
  • Active and ongoing role in the contract renewal and/or renegotiation process
  • Facilitates the development of new products and services in line with business strategy and Client needs.
  • Preparing Client Proposals with the input and inclusion of key IFP personnel
  • Supports the VP Account Management in developing the Account Management plan
  • Forecasting

  • Liaison with Regional VP Sales

  • Liaison with Games/Software team
  • Liaison with Connectivity Project team
  • Liaison with Digital Media team
  • Liaison with Portal Solutions team

Qualifications/Experience

Professional Track Record

  • Australian Naturalized
  • MBA preferred or Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of Satellite based technology, WIFI, Connectivity, Telecom, In-Flight Entertainment, Commercial Airlines
  • 7-10 years of industry exposure: Airline, In-Flight Entertainment, OEM, Technical Services
  • Tech savvy – able to communicate high-level technology hardware/software/ satellite based solutions to client.
  • Demonstrable existing relations with decision makers in the airline industry
  • Demonstrable success in account management, business development, project management, product management, innovation
