Supportive team environment
This position will support both the main Hospital Reception and the Emergency Department Reception – main reception is open 6am-9pm weekdays and 8am-8pm weekends and Public Holidays. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours per day. Both areas require flexibility with shift work.
The Administration Officer will be responsible for:
- Providing a comprehensive customer focused service to both internal and external customers in relation to all aspects of Emergency, Admissions and Reception
- Providing information to the hospitals external and internal clients via telephone or in person and directing them to the appropriate areas in an efficient, friendly and effective manner.
- Providing clerical support to the Emergency, Admissions and Reception team ensuring an effective, financially informed and efficient presentation and admission process for all patients.

- Flexibility to work a rotating roster
- Experience in a customer service role
- Previous experience in a Medical Practice or Hospital/Emergency department
- Some knowledge of the private health sector including health fund contract tables/member eligibility
- Medical Terminology
- Well developed communication skills to work as part of a team with a willingness to learn new skills
