Family Law Legal Assistant Jobs Vacancy in Mills Oakley Sydney Jobs Details:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant to support three Lawyers in our busy Melbourne Family Law practice. As a Legal Assistant you will display initiative, professionalism and high attention to detail with experience ideally within a Family Law practice group.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Answering phone calls and assisting with client enquiries;
- Preparing legal documents;
- Diary management for each of the lawyers you assist;
- Dictaphone typing;
- Billing/managing trust and office receipts, etc;
- Coordinating team meetings/events;
- Mail merging documents and formatting; and
- File management/paralegal work (including liaison with clients, barristers, courts etc).
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience working in professional services in a family law environment. Excellent communication and diary management skills, with a client service focus are essential, as well as the ability to work in a team and follow directions. You will be proficient in MS Word and formatting, as well as good experience in Dictaphone typing, with a typing speed of at least 75 WPM. You will have the ability to, prioritise tasks, display initiative, have good attention to detail and a proven history of meeting deadlines. The core office hours are 8.30am to 5pm, however, extra hours maybe necessary during busy periods.
