Ai Group Apprentice & Trainee Centre are seeking an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter to work in the Newcastle/Hunter region.
Our host employer is a manufacturer of compressors, pumps, blowers and other engineered solutions for various industrial applications. As an apprentice Maintenance Fitter you will learn all aspects of installation and maintenance, working across a range of industries and sites in the Newcastle/Hunter region including mining and energy production
> Must be Australian Citizen or have right to work in this country
> This is a Cert III qualification, tertiary graduates need not apply.
All training and protective equipment and clothing supplied.
The apprenticeship is a 4 Year apprenticeship and Apprentice award wages apply.
A Certificate III Engineering Mechanical Apprenticeship will involve:
> Examine and evaluate drawings and specification for requirements.
> Operate and adjust metalworking machines and create parts or tools by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding or drilling metal stock or components.
> Fit and assemble metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies (including brazing or welding parts, repair or replace faulty parts).
> Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
> Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines.
> Ensure accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools or sub-assemblies.
