Mulwaree High School is a large comprehensive rural high school of approximately 890 students, including 3 support classes. The student population comprises 6% Aboriginal students and 5% EASL/D. Mulwaree High School is situated within the Southern Tablelands Network and drawing students from within Goulburn and surrounding towns. The school has a wide range of experience in its teaching staff and offers a wide curriculum and also caters extensively to the interests of all students including athletics, visual arts, music performance, sport, STEM, Robotics and public speaking/debating.
Mulwaree High School has strong community links and promotes strong leadership opportunities for students and staff. The school’s pursuit of excellence is supported by a very dedicated P&C. Specific Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Approval to teach special education and/or demonstrated experience in teaching students with autism, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours
Proven capacity to lead the development of innovative, differentiated learning programs and plans for students that promote student engagement and transition into a variety of learning environments.
Demonstrated commitment to build positive relationships that support and build staff capacity through consultative, collaborative and decisive leadership and management.
Highly developed organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and work as part of a team to build a positive learning culture with students, staff, parents/caregivers, the community and outside agencies.
Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as a member the school’s executive team to lead and implement a whole school vision and strategic directions.
General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
