About the company
This is one of Australia's largest R&D driven manufacturing businesses developing and producing complex products within their large state of the art manufacturing site in Northern Suburbs Melbourne. An expanding business, they are seeking to employ further leadership capability into their Process Engineering business unit.
About the role
The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for leading a small team of Process Engineers and managing their workflow, as well you will be a hands on member of the team engaging with stakeholders from shop floor to the boardroom. The role ensures efficient and effective operational support, delivers process improvements, and supports organisational objectives as they effect the manufacturing plant.
As the ideal candidate you'll likely have:
- A relevant engineering degree (chemical or mechanical)
- Strong experience in a process industry (chemical, petrochem, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper etc)
- Experience managing technical or front line resources
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across the business from operations to board room
- Hands on approach
