We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Person with a passion for customer service to join our friendly Beresfield branch. The successful candidate will interact with a multitude of stakeholders on a daily basis; from liaising with truck drivers; to answering phones and solving customer issues. This is an ideal role for an individual who can work autonomously and loves a challenge in a fast paced environment.
Reporting to the Branch Controller you will enjoy taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of your role as well as sharing your enthusiasm and passion for superior customer service with a like-minded team. You will thrive on adding value to our business through your expertise, exceptional communication skills and professional outlook.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your ability to manage competing priorities and be proactive in your approach to work will be vital to your success. Core duties include but are not limited to:
- Forklift driving, unloading and loading vehicles;
- Undertaking administrative duties such as Order Entry, Goods Receipting and Inventory counts through SAP;
- Ensuring a high standard of personal presentation and housekeeping of warehouse;
- Manual handling of products and assisting loading of customer vehicles as required;
- Relationship building and providing superior customer service to our regular trade customers;
- Ensuring best practices in the warehouse operations and logistics;
- Ensuring you adhere to each site's safety, health and environment policies and procedures;
Skills & Qualifications:
Ideally you will come from a retail trade background, with strong home improvement/building product knowledge. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to efficiently follow up any outstanding stakeholder queries via email or phone.
You must have a flexible attitude; be team orientated and have strong computer skills. In return you will be rewarded by a company that truly values its employees and offers opportunities for progression.
The business operating hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm on a rotating basis. Own transport and Forklift licence are essential; SAP experience would be advantageous.
