The Defence Aviation Safety Authority is responsible for enhancing and promoting the safety of military aviation. This is achieved through the implementation of a Defence Aviation Safety Program that promotes a generative safety culture and assures the effective management of aviation safety risks. Promotion of aviation safety is achieved through education, training and the dissemination of safety information.
We are seeking an experienced education and training practitioner to support and enable Authority management and staff to identify learning and develop requirements, and implement effective learning interventions to satisfy these requirements. The successful candidate will effectively coordinate and contribute to the work of the DASA Learning, Development and Coordination Team consistent to the team work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members and staff delivering learning and development outputs.
Currently more than 45 formal courses are being managed and more are being developed to support requirements including implementation of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and specialist engineering capabilities. These courses are delivered to Authority staff and to the wider Defence Aviation Safety Community. The position will also oversight and contribute to the work of a sub-team providing administrative support to facilitate the conduct of learning and development activities including significant conferences, symposiums, formal courses and individual learning requirements.
The successful candidate will effectively apply expertise, knowledge and skills to recommend solutions for a range of moderately complex learning and development issues; and have the communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice to achieve learning and development outputs.
