What does a yourtown Community Volunteer do?
yourtown Community Volunteers are recruited to support our local programs, workshops and activities which may include language, literacy and numeracy tutoring, arts, sports, dance and creative workshops. All volunteers work alongside our specialist trained staff.
How do our Volunteers really help young people?
Our Volunteers are a positive adult role model and mentor in the young person’s life. Volunteers establish positive and supportive relationships with young people, allowing them to build confidence and self-esteem and to work on their strengths and abilities to set and reach their own goals.

As a yourtown Volunteer you will receive training, learning opportunities and ongoing support. We ask that you commit for a minimum of three months and 1.5 hours per week.
