This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to work as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team, delivering market leading solutions to a number of our large corporate clients. As an experienced PM you will be responsible for implementing strategic change and service improvements to benefit the members of our largest and most complex Corporate Superannuation clients, and manage the delivery, planning and governance of projects in partnership with Mercer technology, operations, finance, external vendors and external client stakeholders. You will use your project management skills to effectively control and manage the changes, issues, and risks associated with projects, and coordinate both technical and project resources to ensure quality delivery in accordance with project management best practices.
Controlling project scope and planning activities associated with either business or technology focused projects
Working closely with the Organisational Change team to integrate change management activities and a focus on the people side of change into the overall project plans
Ensuring the project remains relevant in the Business context by obtaining Sponsor validation of the Business Case based on a Best, Worst, Most Likely scenario construct
Preparing project budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring project financials. Ongoing management and reporting on project budgets, analysing budget variances and recommending appropriate actions
Ensuring all project integration processes such as stakeholder expectations, quality and communications are managed through the application of project management disciplines
Previous Project Management experience, preferably from a financial services sector
Demonstrated knowledge and application of Project Management best practice competencies
Strong facilitation, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Ability to influence and build productive relationships with industry providers and stakeholders
A qualification or accreditation in best practice project methodologies such as Prince2, Cert IV, Diploma, etc
