Position Information
Lynwood Park Public School is in the Bungarribee Network, approximately 30km from Sydney CBD. The current enrolment is 287 including 45% of students having English as an additional language or dialect.. Each child is encouraged to succeed, guided by dedicated and caring teachers. With a focus on maximising outcomes in literacy and numeracy, academic programs are supported by a range of extra-curricular activities including debating, dance, choir, recorder, sport and gardening, Student wellbeing has an emphasis on clear expectations and is based on positive behaviour for learning to support harmonious social relations. Active student leadership is promoted in the school parliament, peer support and peer tutoring. A committed P & C supports school programs and enhances the school to ensure it is safe and welcoming for students and their families. The school works closely with the community to foster the development of creative, engaged learners, resulting in effective citizens of the future.

General Selection Criteria
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people

Conditions
If you have not held a substantive principal position in a NSW Public School at any time in the past five (5) years, you need to have completed the NSW Public School Leadership and Management Credential to be eligible to apply, and you will need to attach a copy of your provisional credential certificate or final credential certificate as part of your application.

The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school’s RAM allocation.
