Business Development Manager Jobs Vacancy in Motorola Solutions Melbourne Jobs Details:

  • Substantially grow Motorola Solution’s minerals & energy business in the Western Australian mining and energy sector by directly influencing customers and partners to engage Motorola’s suite of products and solutions.
  • Working in a consultative manner to understand customers business issues so that complex, solution based sales can be delivered to Motorola’s minerals & energy customer base.
  • Ensuring that day-to-day relationships are maintained and all potential business opportunities are identified planned for and effectively managed thereby achieving Total Customer Satisfaction
  • To meet & exceed sales goals for the full range of Motorola Solutions products, systems & solutions in its portfolio through the management & development of effective relationships with customers.
  • To manage and grow the Motorola Solutions business within the defined territory. Developing, communicating and implementing strategies to ensure that growth, development, customer service and business goals are met.
  • Provide day to day support for dealers, consultants and customers
  • Liaise with the Systems solutions Sales( both Pre and Post), and Engineering teams on complex systems solutions
  • Forecast accurately for all transactions to ensure that the Supply chain can support the business in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide timely reports on business development activity and sales performance. Develop and maintain accurate and effective account plans and strategies for all customers
  • To Comply with Motorola Solutions requirements with regard to internal controls and code of conduct
  • Keep abreast of competitive developments and recommend actions

Job Description

  • To create relationships with end user customers in the defined region. Necessary to achieve this will require consistent travel to locations such as Kalgoorlie, Port Hedland, Karratha, Roxby Downs and other mining regions in WA. To be successful in this role, an expectation of at least 50% of time will be required at mining sites (or as per customer requirements)
  • Leveraging sales ability and existing networks in the Western Australia’s M&E sector to understand key customer’s challenges and position Motorola and Motorola Partner solutions to solve customer’s business issues.
  • Using knowledge of the customer to adapt existing solutions or design new Motorola solutions (in conjunction with internal teams) for the M&E sector.
  • Influence customers, partners and internal staff towards a common high value goal.
  • Provide day to day support for dealers, consultants and customers

Basic Requirements

  • Site specific requirements such as accreditation, drug and alcohol tests and any other areas of compliance as set by the customer’s Occupational heath and safety regulations will be required. Any failure to meet these will make the role untenable for the customer and for Motorola
  • At customer sites you will need to wear Motorola provided personal protective equipment.
GENERAL EDUCATION:

Essential: HSC (Equivalent)
Desirable: Tertiary education (Bachelor level)

OCCUPATIONAL TRAINING:

Essential: Advanced sales & business management training
Basic marketing training P.C. word processing, spread sheeting & power point.

Desirable: Fluency in Salesforce .com or equivalent CRM system

EXPERIENCE:

Essential: Minimum 5 years sales or business management
Demonstrated experience and understanding of oil & gas operations
Previous experience in selling complex ICT related solutions
Proven strategic thinking capability
Formal sales training or evidence of working within formal sales methodologies
