Snowy Hydro has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven Hydro Maintainer with our Major Outage Construction Team based in Khancoban.

THE ROLE
This role as a Hydro Maintainer at Snowy Hydro is responsible for supporting major overhaul and repair work. Whilst working in a team environment the candidates must have the ability to lead self and deliver quality work, striving to work flexibly to suit Snowy Hydro's overhaul and repair work activities. The successful candidate will undertake all work within their skills and competencies, and participate in development training as required. The role includes performing a wide range of duties.

YOUR PROFILE
To be successful in this role, you will you will be a reliable self-starter with a strong safety culture and quality focus. Candidates should have :

5 years scaffolding and rigging experience, preferably in heavy industrial machinery disassembly and construction related activities.

A good knowledge of safe working practices consistent with Snowy Hydro's corporate values.

Good planning and organising skills.

Knowledge of standards, codes and regulations.

Ability to operate overhead crane, forklifts, and other vehicles.

Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical installations and the equipment to support overhaul and repair work e.g. storage and control of parts etc.

Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.

A Workplace Health and Safety General Construction Induction Card is preferred.

Intermediate Scaffolding and or Rigging is essential, Advanced rigging preferable.

Drivers Licence essential, Medium Rigid Licence preferable.

Participate in upskilling training as determined by the supervisor.

Willingness to travel to Murray and Cabramurra assets for overhaul and repair works.
