The Tropicana Gold Project is a large gold mining operation located 330km north-east of Kalgoorlie, on the edge of Western Australia's Great Victoria Desert. Macmahon's 10-year mining contract includes all mine planning, drill and blast, load and haul, crusher feed and other associated works.
Macmahon is currently seeking experienced FMS Supervisor to join our mining production team. This position will be on a non-continuous 8 days on / 6 days off roster, flying from Perth to the Tropicana Project Site.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Promote and maintain high safety performance through personal commitment and application of policies and procedures;
Monitor, coordinate and report on various aspects of the operations, including mentoring and development of shift dispatchers, operations personnel and mobile assets;
Monitor and record operational data and equipment status in the Minestar system with a high degree of accuracy;
Provide support and information to the Supervisors as and when required to drive the business objectives; and
General duties associated with communications and administration.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience in mining operations, with knowledge of daily mine workings and previous Dispatch/ Control room management/exposure will be essential and highly regarded.
A strong commitment to safety and demonstrated positive attendance;
An ability to work effectively during dynamic and high demand situations
Possess strong leadership and organizational skills;
High attention to detail along with technical ability to take action and make change;
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
Good computer literacy skills; and
A highly consultative approach with other departments and client personnel.
