Join a successful well established International Group well placed in the building, construction and electrical industry. The Company is a provider of electrical infrastructure - technical products, solutions and services - into the residential, multi residential and commercial marketplace.

This position is based in Sydney. A Profit Centre Management role function, you will proactively lead and manage a specialised team in the Projects division of the business. Your role will be to build on the Companies national profile and activities specifically as it relates to the Commercial Project marketplace. Thus you will develop and execute a strategic plan, lead and manage your team (Estimators, Project Sales Executives etc), ensure the company’s product offering and proposition delivers real value to the customer base, leverage and influence relationships with all the key internal and external stakeholders (Large Electrical Contractors, Architects, Designers & Consultants, Panel Builders, Builders, OEM’s, B2B, Wholesalers, Product Managers, Commercial Managers etc) to achieve profitable sales outcomes. Ultimately, you will be responsible for shaping the company’s ongoing future growth strategy and direction.

You will work across the Australian business. You will be involved in:

  • High level presentations to maximise the Companies opportunity to win and hold product specifications
  • Fostering high level relationships with the Key Customers and Companies in order to achieve advanced multi-level relationships across the business.
  • Working with the technical (Product management, Trainers, Quality, Estimators) and sales teams to further develop their technical, commercial business and sales skills.
  • Driving marketing strategies and initiatives - Company Sponsorships, Brand management, product offering – continued product design and development, assisting re preparation of marketing materials, presentations, communications
  • Overseeing the companies Data Base Project information and delivery systems, etc.
This is very much a “hands on” role where you will need to travel to influence, inform, develop and ensure the market base are updated and appraised of the company’s full capabilities.

You will mostly likely have a proven successful track record as a National Sales Manager or Senior Profit Centre Manager within the electrical, building and construction industry – with specific experience gained in the Commercial Building Projects sector as it pertains to specification of technical products, solutions / systems. Experience gained in the low voltage electrical marketplace highly desirable. You will demonstrate:

Successfully having developed and executed sales & marketing plans in medium to large companies ($20M+) that have led to an increase in sales revenue / growth / market share across a national business

High level communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and commercial skills,

Having managed National key Stakeholders including Wholesalers, Key Electrical Contractors, Builders and Panel Builders

Understand and have experience with the various channels to market in the electrical, building and construction industry

Technical electrical engineering / building / construction aptitude as it relates to product and application
