Statistician Jobs Vacancy in Victoria Police Melbourne Jobs Details:
VPSG3 range $65,713 - $79,790 p.a. + super + leave loading.
One (1) full time, ongoing position available.
Working within the Organisational Performance Division, Corporate Strategy and Operational Improvement Department located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands.*
About the role:
As a Statistician you will participate and/or assist in developing and delivering effective and efficient statistical management programs, methodology and systems that supports Victoria Police corporate goals, strategies, as well as public sector and social requirements. You will report directly to Senior Statisticians.
Some of your duties will include:
Service requests for data/statistics to internal and external customers;
Maintaining corporate statistical systems and data from operational systems;
Ensure data quality assurances are conducted for the reliability of the data including monitoring backlogs;
Assisting in supporting a large number of Intel/DIU analysts with their day-to-day queries regarding Statistics and SAS EG using corporate data sets as outlined above;
Maintaining and publishing regular statistical reports.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the application of statistical management;
Experience in the development and implementation of strategies, policies and procedures relevant to the management and implementation of significant statistical data and evaluation techniques.
Requirements and relevant information:
Tertiary qualifications in statistics, computing or social science is desirable.
Experience in statistical analysis using Statistical Software is highly desirable.
Experience in use of SAS software is advantageous.
- Your usual place of work will be within the Organisational Performance Division, Corporate Strategy and Operational Improvement Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
