This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Consultant expert to join our Dyno Consult team based in Brisbane where you can demonstrate your drill and blast expertise and strong project management methodology, knowledge and experience.
In this role, you will:
Manage the onsite implementation of small to medium technical blasting projects
Provide support and training with the aim of improving efficiencies and bottom line results for our customers.
Use your sound knowledge of surface and, ideally, coal mining practices will enable you to become a key link with our blue-chip customers.
Ensure compliance with applicable Dyno Nobel HSEQ Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
Identify opportunities to implement improvement projects at key customer sites in the region.
Manage technical projects from the inception and planning through to completion, including report writing and publication of results in conjunction with and for the benefit of customers as well as Dyno Nobel.
Assist with the introduction of electronic detonators at customer sites and establish the value presented by the technology.
Implement TCO projects managed by a Senior Technical Consultant or Technical Manager (as part of a team) from inception and planning through to completion, including report writing and publication of results in conjunction with and for the benefit of customers as well as Dyno Nobel.
Proactively develop a particular area of individual technical expertise.
We are looking to hear from candidates with demonstrated leadership skills and experience as well as:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in related engineering or science discipline preferred.
Proven ability to determine the appropriate course of action in the field.
Proven development of strategies to enhance the value of our offering through the implementation of TCO products and applications.
Proven technical drill & blast expertise
Project Management methodology knowledge and experience (an advantage)
Promotion of OH&S procedures to ensure Zero Harm at all times.
Your strong customer focus, change leadership capacity and good problem-solving abilities will showcase a well organised project management leadership philosophy. You will have a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, together with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
