Ajuga School is a School for Specific Purpose that caters for students experiencing emotional disturbance (ED) and/or Autism that impact on their learning. The school currently supports 53 students across Kindergarten to Year 12. The school provides three classes for students Kindergarten – Year 6, three classes for students Years 7-12 and an Autism/ED class Years 3 - 6. The executive at Ajuga School comprises of a Principal, two Assistant Principals and the Head Teacher of the Return to School Program located adjacent to the Glenfield Office. The school is situated on approximately two hectares of land. Each class has a Teacher and School Learning Support Officer. The main focus of the school is the effective integration of students into the most suitable setting to support their ongoing success at school and more broadly for their future. The school community consists of parents and carers, referring home schools, Sydney Distance Education, TAFEs, health services and neighbouring schools. The school has an embedded approach to the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy that has enhanced the learning outcomes for students. Staff have high expectations and aspirations for students and continue to explore ways to continue to engage students in positive behaviour to support ongoing improvement.

The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school’s RAM allocation.
