Intermediate to Senior CNC Machinist (2IC) required for long established and respected foundry, Dalby location.

About the role
Reporting the Machine Shop Manager, as the 2IC you will share accountability for shop productivity, safety and quality. Your role will predominantly involve the setup and programming of CNC Machines (Mazaks) in addition to other machining and general fabrication. You can expect a good diversity of work projects, making for a challenging but rewarding work environment. As an Intermediate to Senior Trade Qualified Machinist, you are technically proficient with good attention to detail and excel problem solving, delivering high quality work safely and on time. With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in your field, you are ready to find the right employer to help shape the next chapter of your career.
Minimum qualification of Tradesman.
Machining castings of varying materials
Insert selection for different cutting condition
Fault finding and inspection
Process and efficiency improvement without compromising safety or reliability
Work holding methods
Mazatrol programming using Fusion & Smooth X controllers
High level ISO programing on Okuma machining centres & lathes
CAD / CAM knowledge
Leading and motivation team members
Self motivated and enthusiastic
Safe work practices
