About the role
ParentsNext helps parents with children under 6, to plan and prepare for future study or work. Mission Australia is one of the ParentsNext Project providers tasked to provide support and assistance to parents in gaining sustainable employment and/or education through helping them overcome their vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment.
Support Workers are to assist parents in gaining sustainable employment and/or education through helping them overcome their vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. Additionally, the role provides relief support to other Mission Australia (MA) sites across the region as required.
Ideal candidates will have experience family services, jobseekers services or case management positions but also demonstrable experience in working with vulnerable people. You will be required to keep up to date information on clients so strong administration and computer literacy skills are necessary for the role.
